Authorized Payers
Students may give parents and other individuals the ability to view the student's Housing bills online and make electronic payments to the student's Housing account by setting them up as an authorized payer in Housing's online payment system.
Setting up an Authorized Payer
To add a new authorized payer, a student should go to the website http://www.housing.wisc.edu/billing/payment.php, click on the Housing Bills Student Log In button and enter their Net ID and password. On the Authorized Payers section of Your Account page, click on the link titled Add New. On the next screen, enter the name of the authorized payer and their email address and click on the OK button.
An email will be sent to the new authoirzed payer which will include their login name and temporary password. Once the authorized payer receives this information, they may access Housing's online payment system by going to the website https://commerce.cashnet.com/uwmadisonpay. on the login page, the authoirzed payer will need to enter their login name and temporary password. After logging in, they will be able to change their password, set up and store their own profile and account information, check account balances, view bills and make electronic payments.
