Payments for Housing bills or deposits to the Housing Food Account can be made online (see the links below) or a number of other ways. Please see the easy payment chart and/or read the information below to determine which payment options you prefer.

Housing bills

Housing Bills Student Login

Requires University- assigned NetID and password.

Housing Bills Parent or Authorized Payer Login

Requires login name and password created by the student.

Payment for quarterly Housing bills and damage charges can be made in the following ways:

Online

Students and authorized payers (parents, guardians, third party sponsors, etc.) can pay Housing bills online using an electronic check (eCheck) or credit card (Mastercard, Discover, or American Express). A 2.75 percent convenience fee is charged for all online credit card payments. There is no additional charge for electronic check payments. Please note that the following types of checks are not allowed for eCheck payments:

  • Credit card cash advance checks (convenience checks)
  • Home equity line of credit checks
  • Brokerage account checks

Parents and other authorize payers must enter the login name and password assigned to them by the student before they will be able to make online payments, check account balances, or review transaction history related to Housing bills.

By mail
Checks and money orders can be sent to the Housing Cashier's Office at 625 Babcock Drive, Madison, WI 53706.
In person
Payments can be made in person at the Housing Cashier's Office, which is located at 625 Babcock Drive, Madison, WI 53706. Office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Accepted forms of payment include checks, money orders, and cash.

Housing Food Account

WiscCard Student Login

Requires UW ID number and password.

WiscCard Parent or Authorized Payer Login

Requires student's UW ID number.

This system is managed by the campus Wiscard program. Students and authorized payers can make a deposit to a student's Housing Food Account (the minimum deposit is $10) in the following ways:

Online
Students will need to register and set up a password the first time they visit this Web site. Deposits can be made online using a credit card (Mastercard or VISA). A $2.50 convenience fee is charged for all online credit card deposits. The person making the online deposit will need to enter the student's ID number. A password is not required to deposit funds in a student's Housing Food Account. The student's ID number and password must be entered to check a Housing Food Account balance, review transaction history, or suspend a lost or stolen Wiscard.
By mail
Checks and money orders can be sent to the Housing Cashier's Office at 625 Babcock Drive, Madison, WI 53706. You will find a Housing Food Account deposit form and a pre-addressed Housing Cashier's Office envelope enclosed with each quarterly Housing bill. Prepare separate checks for your Housing Food Account deposit and your quarterly Housing bill payment and enclose both checks and the Housing Food Account deposit form in the Housing Cashier's Office envelope.
In person
Deposits can be made in person at the Housing Cashier's Office, which is located at 625 Babcock Drive, Madison, WI 53706. Office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Accepted forms of payment include checks, money orders, and cash.
By telephone
Deposits can be made by telephone using a credit card (Mastercard or VISA). A $2.50 convenience fee is charged for all deposits made via the telephone. Call the Housing Cashier's Office at (608) 262-2230 between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
