University Apartments
Rates
We are committed to providing quality, convenient housing for students at reasonable rates. University Student Apartments rates are among the lowest of the "Big 10" universities and competitive with the surrounding community.
Rates are reviewed each year and increases must be approved by the Board of Regents. Rate increases are usually announced in late spring with a July 1 effective date. Residents are provided at least 60 days notice of the new rates. No state tax money is received by the Division of University Housing, and all operating and repair costs for University Faculty Apartments are paid from rent income.
Rent is due on or before the first day of the month. For example, rent for August must be paid by August 1. A late charge is assessed when rent is paid after the due date.
A deposit of $300 is due at the time that a lease is signed and submitted to the University Apartments Office. A deposit is not required at the time that you submit your application for housing.
